Description
Dr. Heejo Lee is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the director of the Center for Software Security and Assurance (CSSA) at Korea University, South Korea. He is one of the leading cybersecurity experts in the country, with research interests that include software security, open-source security, and automated vulnerability analysis.
Dr. Lee received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from POSTECH, South Korea. From 2001 to 2003, he served as the CTO of AhnLab, Inc., the leading cybersecurity company in South Korea. Since 2006, he has been a national representative and cybersecurity policy advisor for countries including the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Costa Rica, and Cambodia. In recognition of his contributions, he received the (ISC)² ISLA award, the prestigious Asia-Pacific Community Service Star, in 2016.
In 2016, he launched the automated vulnerability analysis open platform, 'https://iotcube.net,' significantly contributing to a safer software ecosystem. He is a founding member and co-CEO of Labrador Labs, Inc., a spin-off of CSSA, established in 2018 to provide enterprise solutions that help build open-source security governance and SBOM management for securing software supply chains.
