Description
Katia works in the Environment Directorate at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), where she leads the Biodiversity, Land Use and Ecosystems (BLUE) programme.
Her focus is on the economics and policy of biodiversity, covering areas such as the effective design of policy instruments, biodiversity finance and mainstreaming. Her work has covered reports for the G7 such as on Biodiversity: Finance and the Economic and Business Case for Action. Prior to this, she worked on climate change issues within the OECD/IEA Climate Change Expert Group (2006-2008). An environmental economist by training, Katia has a PhD from UCL, London, and a Masters’ degree from Duke University, USA.
