Håvard Halland is a senior economist at the OECD Development Centre, formerly a senior economist at the World Bank and visiting scholar at Stanford University. While at the World Bank, he advised governments on the establishment and operations of sovereign funds. His work lies at the intersection of public and private finance, economics, energy, and sustainability. He is the lead or joint author of several books and of a number of research papers. His books have been published in several languages, and his op-eds have appeared in the Financial Times, Le Monde, and on Project Syndicate, among others.
