Tri Rismaharini has been serving as the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in the Indonesia Maju Cabinet since December 23, 2020. Prior to this role, she held the position of Mayor of Surabaya from September 28, 2010, to September 28, 2015, and again from February 17, 2016, until December 23, 2020. During her tenure as Minister of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Social Affairs has garnered numerous awards for its achievements in social welfare services.
