Description
Edward Perry is a biodiversity policy analyst in the Environment Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In this role, his work has focussed on the economics and policy of biodiversity, covering areas such as effective design of policy instruments, monitoring and scaling up biodiversity finance and mainstreaming biodiversity across sectors. Edward is the author of the OECD report Mainstreaming Biodiversity into Renewable Power Infrastructure released earlier this year.
Edward’s previous roles include Special Advisor to the Environment Director of the OECD and Global Climate Change Policy Coordinator at BirdLife International. He has worked on projects in Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, with a particular focus on nature-based solutions. Edward holds an MPhil in Geography and Environment from the University of Oxford, with a specialisation in biodiversity conservation and management, and a BSc from University College Utrecht in the Netherlands.
