Description
Julie Lassébie is an economist specialized in applied microeconomics. Her research interests cover a variety of topics, including gender economics, development economics, and more broadly social issues and the evaluation of public policies. She currently works at the Employment, Labour and Social Affairs Directorate of the OECD, where she specializes on the topics of skills and adult learning. She provides technical assistance to governments of several OECD countries to help them develop better and more resilient adult learning systems. Her work also uses big data and other novel data sources to understand future skill needs. She leads a project looking at changes in the risk of job automation as a result of progress in AI and robotics. She has co-authored the report “Training in Enterprises: New Evidence from 100 Case Studies” that discusses why and how governments should support enterprises to train, based on qualitative data obtained thanks to enterprise case studies carried out in five OECD countries.
She obtained a PhD in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics in 2018, under the supervision of Emmanuelle Auriol.
