Description

Michele Tuccio is an economist in the Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs of the OECD. His work focuses on the analysis of skills mismatch, adult training policies and labour market trends. He is currently coordinating several OECD technical support projects on the implementation of adult learning systems reforms. Before joining the OECD in 2017, Michele worked for the World Bank in Washington DC, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London, and the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Jakarta. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton and a MPhil in International Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Michele is also an Associate Researcher at DIAL (IRD-University Paris-Dauphine), an Associate Member of the Centre for Population Change, and a Fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO). Between 2018 and 2021, he has been an Adjunct Professor at Sciences Po Paris. His research has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Population Economics, the Journal of Comparative Economics, and the Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization. Media coverage of his work includes Economist, Bloomberg, Reuters, Repubblica, Il Sole 24 Ore, Der Spiegel, and VoxEU among others.
