Description
The substantial investment deficit to achieve climate objectives, particularly in developing countries, has been extensively documented. The majority of carbon emissions stem from insufficient and inadequate global infrastructure, particularly in the energy sector. This session will clarify why more private investment is needed and what the potential of foreign investment is to support the low-carbon transition. It will also address potential obstacles that could impede a boost in green FDI and explore potential actions that the international investment policy community could take.
