The objective of this 1st OECD Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Programme (LACRP) Meeting on Development Co-operation is to advance dialogue on pressing development co-operation priorities among senior officials from Latin American and the Caribbean (LAC) countries providing development co-operation and members of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), as well as representatives of multilateral organizations and regional development banks. Participants will share insights and explore synergies to advance shared goals along commonly agreed international standards of development co-operation, enhance partnerships, find new ways to increase resources for sustainable development and support transitions of partner countries amid multiple challenges.
This 1-day dialogue is hosted by Spain and will take place back-to-back with the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) meeting of Latin American senior officials responsible for development cooperation in preparation for the XXIX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government taking place in November in Ecuador.
