Description
Economist from Universidad Santo Tomás, with a Master's degree in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Experienced in project formulation, research, implementation and evaluation of population public policies, he has held key roles in government institutions as a public policy advisor in the Secretariat of Social Integration of the Mayor's Office of Bogota and in the Senate of the Republic, specializing in macroeconomic policies. In addition, he held the position of coordinator of the current government and was the chief coordinator who designed the government program: “Colombia World Power of Life”.
Currently, he is a member of the board of directors of Banco Agrario, is Ad-honorem professor of the Faculty of Economics at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and chairs the Sociedad de Activos Especiales (SAE), an entity attached to the Ministry of Finance, responsible for managing the Fund for Social Rehabilitation, Social Investment and the Fight against Organized Crime.
