Description
Annelies Goger is an economic geographer who is passionate about addressing rising inequality, building vibrant and resilient regions, and increasing economic opportunity. Dr. Goger has expertise in workforce policy, economic development, and global supply chains. Her research at Brookings Metro focuses on scaling earn-and-learn opportunities, inclusive economic development, digital transformation in labor and education, and human-centered approaches to policy design.
Prior to joining Brookings, Dr. Goger was a senior associate at Social Policy Research Associates, specializing in workforce development and human services program evaluation and capacity building. She was also a research associate at IMPAQ International and the Duke University Center on Globalization, Governance & Competitiveness (now the Duke Value Chains Center).
