Description
The Undersecretary of Quality and Relevance of Bogota’s Secretary of Education, Julia María Rubiano de la Cruz holds a degree in Government and International Relations from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and a Master’s in Management and Public Policy from the Universidad de Chile.
With the conviction that education transforms lives, for over 15 years she has led projects and programs in the public, private and international cooperation sectors. Her work has been oriented to design, implement and accompany strategies for the improvement of educational quality through collaboration with teachers and principals throughout the country.
In the Ministry of National Education, she was part of the formulation and implementation team of the Rural Education project and was the first manager for the implementation of the Full school day. She has also been the director of the “Compartir al Maestro” Award, Head of Schools for the British Council and consultant for UNICEF, among others.
