Description
Linnea Wikström is the Global Director for Construction, Health and Safety at the global union federation Building and Wood Workers' International (BWI), leading the work of promoting the development of trade unions in the construction sector, as well as the promotion and enforcement of workers' rights in the context of sustainable development. Next to her responsibilities concerning the construction sector, Linnea represents BWI in various ILO forums on Occupational Health and Safety and at the OECD-hosted Executive Consultation Group of the Blue Dot Network. She also leads BWIs' cooperation with the World Bank Group and other international financial institutions. She holds an LLM in public international law, specialising in business and human rights, and has published various studies on labour compliance in high-risk value chains.
