Since September 2018, François Houllier has been President of IFREMER, the French research institute dedicated to marine science and technology. IFREMER's activities extend from the coast to the open sea, and from the abyss to the surface. IFREMER also operates the French oceanographic fleet, which is present in the Mediterranean and in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans.
