Maria Chiara Carrozza, President of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, is Professor of Industrial Bioengineering and Biorobotics at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, of which she was Rector. She was Minister of Education, University and Research and Scientific Director of IRCCS Don C. Gnocchi. She is a member of the High Level Expert Group for FP10 of the European Commission. She is Chair of the European Science Advisors Forum (ESAF) and of the European G6 Research Network.
