Description
Roberto Danovaro, professor of Marine Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sustainability at the Polytechnic University of Marche. From 2013 to 2022 he was President of the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station, National Institute of Marine Biology, Ecology and Biotechnology. Past-President of the Italian Society of Ecology, of the Italian Society of Limnology and Oceanography and of the European Federation of Scientific Societies. Member of the Academia Europaea and member of the Academy of Sciences of the European Union. He is the author of over 500 publications and numerous scientific and popular books. He has received several international prizes and recognitions (BMC Biology, French Society of Oceanography and ENI “Environmental Protection” Award). ExpertScape listed him as the most influential scientist in “Oceans and Seas for the Decade 2010-2020”.
