Description
Göran Marklund is Head of Strategic Intelligence and Deputy Director General at Vinnova, the Swedish Innovation Agency. Dr Marklund is also chair of the OECD TIP, Working Group on Innovation and Technology Policy. He has been Associate Professor in Economic History at Uppsala University with the focus on innovation and economic change. Dr Marklund has also been Science and Technology Attaché at the Swedish Embassy in Washington DC and guest researcher at the Centre for International Technology Policy (CISTP) at George Washington University. He regularly gives advice to the Swedish Government on research, innovation and growth policy issues. As an analyst, Dr Marklund has primarily specialized in system innovation for sustainable transitions, competitiveness in transforming value chains, impact of globalization dynamics on R&D, innovation, and national competitiveness, as well as on policy impact studies. In this capacity he is deeply connected to research related to system innovation for sustainable and competitive transformations within the OECD Committee for Science and Technology Policy (CSTP), Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) and other international and national fora.
