Biography
Steph Muchai is a member of the global steering committee and Board of Directors of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). OGP is an organisation of reformers inside and outside of government, working to transform how governments serve their citizens. This is done by upholding core values of access to information, civic participation, public accountability, and the use of technology for openness and accountability.
Steph Muchai is a seasoned governance professional who has worked extensively towards policy reform, good governance and the rule of law, open data and internet freedoms, enabling civic space, open contracting, and anti-corruption. Her work also focuses on the rights of indigent and marginalised persons and the provision of pro bono legal support on public interest matters.
She is energised by thought leaders, brave problem solvers and driven teams in the area of citizen-centred public reform agendas. Steph is a lawyer, and is also trained in communications and international relations.
