Biography

Katarína Roskoványi currently serves as the State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. Previously, she held various roles within the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Slovak Republic, specialising mostly in criminal and international legal matters. Her notable achievements include a tenure as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights, where she gained valuable experience in human rights law. Throughout her career, Dr. Roskoványi has demonstrated a commitment to advancing justice and legal cooperation across Europe. Her professional journey has taken her through several key prosecutorial roles, including positions at both the district and regional levels in Košice. Dr. Roskoványi holds a Master’s and a Doctorate in Law from P. J. Šafárik University in Košice as well as an MBA in human resources. She completed her judiciary exam in 2007. She has also enhanced her expertise through specialised training across Europe, including programmes at the European Academy of Law, the European Judicial Network, and the European College of Financial Investigation. Notably through her knowledge of English, German, and Russian, Dr. Roskoványi has cultivated a strong international profile, contributing to numerous cross-border legal initiatives and European seminars.
