Biography

Judge Hossam Sadek is the Deputy Minister of Justice for International and Cultural Cooperation Affairs and is Acting Deputy Minister of Justice for Legislation Affairs. Appointed as an Assistant Public Prosecutor in 1986, Judge Hossam has been promoted throughout his career to hold positions including Chief Deputy Public Prosecutor, Chief Justice, and Vice President of the Court of Cassation. He was delegated as Deputy Minister of Justice for International and Cultural Affairs in March, 2020. Additionally, Judge Hossam has worked as the Judge for The Arab Investment Court at the Arab League, as an Arbitrator for the Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration, and as Vice President of the Arab Society for Commercial and Marine Law. He has experience as a National Expert in the Training Courses for the Supporting Modernization of Justice Management project, a European Union Programme implemented in collaboration with the National Center for Judicial Studies. He worked as an International Expert for Expertise France for the Judges of the Court of Appeal–Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on subject of the rules of the1978 Hamburg Agreement. Judge Hossam holds a Bachelor of Law, Alexandria University (Egypt). He has lectured at various faculties of law in Egyptian universities, at the German University in Cairo, and for The Faculty of Media at Pharos University.
