Biography
Tetyana Fuley was appointed Head of Research Department at the National School of Judges of Ukraine (NSJ) in 2012. In this role, she conducts scientific research and leads working groups for skills-based course development on the rule of law, human rights and gender equality, in addition to designing and developing training materials for these courses. She also has extensive experience as a short-term expert/consultant in various international technical assistance projects, including as: National Expert on Human Rights and Gender Equality in justice for various projects implemented in Ukraine by OSCE (“Safeguarding Human Rights through Courts”, “Promoting Responsive Professional Judicial Education”, and “Supporting Targeted Professional Judicial Education”); Council of Europe (“Fostering Culture of Human Rights” (2006-2009), “Immediate Measures Package for Ukraine” (2014), “Supporting Institutions to Compat Ill-Treatment in Ukraine” (2020-2022), “Support for judicial institutions and processes to strengthen access to justice in Ukraine” (2022), “Strengthening Ukrainian Law Enforcement Agencies During War and Post-War Period” (2023)); Consultant for UN Women (2022); Consultant for the Ukraine Judicial Capacity Building Project implemented by Advocated for International Development (A4ID) (2022-2024).
Tetyana Fuley is an author of more than 120 publications, including manuals for judges on human rights, access to justice, ECtHR jurisprudence, and gender equality.
As a graduate of Lviv State University, she obtained her Ph.D. in Law at Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2003.
