Description

Yoshii Akira is a Member of the House of Councillors, representing the Kyoto constituency. Born on January 2, 1967, he was elected after serving four terms on the Kyoto City Council. He has held various roles, including Secretary to a Member of the House of Representatives. Within the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), he has served as Deputy Director of the Women's Affairs Division and Publicity and Strategies Division. He is also a member of the Committee on Rules and Administration and the Committee on Land and Transport in the House of Councillors. He is a member of several parliamentary groups, including those focused on housing, the promotion of towns and villages, and supporting designated cities. His areas of interest include protecting Japan’s history and traditions, bringing local voices to the national stage, and promoting an orderly capitalist society.
