Description

Kjersti Stenseng is the former Party Secretary for the Labour Party from 2015 to 2025. She has experience as State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture from 2012 to 2013. Stenseng holds a cand.mag. degree in political science and history, as well as practical-pedagogical education from the University of Oslo. She has held several leadership roles, including leader of the Peer Gynt Festival at Gålå from 2001 to 2009, managing director of the Norwegian Literature Festival in Lillehammer from 2010 to 2011, and HR and Volunteer Manager for the Youth Olympic Games 2016 from 2013 to 2015. Politically, she has been a member of the municipal council and executive committee in Sør-Fron from 2007 to 2011, and was the first deputy representative to the Storting for the Labour Party in Oppland from 2013 to 2017. She was also a political advisor in the Ministry of Culture in 2010, and leader of Oppland Labour Party from 2010 to 2014. Since 2011, she has been a member of the central board of the Labour Party.
