In the context of environmental due diligence there are often huge challenges in accessing reliable and independent data on environmental issues – often they do not even exist, which causes difficulties in enforcing compliance with environmental standards. This session will focus on the role community monitoring could play in this regard and possibilities for the use of this data by downstream actors. Furthermore, we will get an insight in community monitoring in practice and its different forms.
The session will be held in English and Spanish languages.
