1993-1996 - Executive Rector of the Semipalatinsk Institute of Business and Entrepreneurship.
1997-1998 - Chief Specialist, Head of Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Strategic Planning and Reforms.
1998-2003 - head of the sector, deputy head of the department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2003-2004 - Director of the Department for Accession to the World Trade Organization of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
