Description
Carolina Duran is an economist, mother of twins, passionate about use of technology and innovation for the greater good. Most recently she served as Bogota’s Secretary of Economic Development through the pandemic facilitating innovative policy and resource allocation to assist businesses. She worked closely with the nightlife association to promote vaccination, masking and other risk reduction strategies to expedite business reopening. Duran is a Fulbright and Colfuturo Scholar with graduate education from Columbia University, University of Barcelona and fellow from Stanford University studying social change. Among her many roles in economic planning is Founder and Director of BI, a Columbian digital media service specializing in news on Latin America's most dynamic financial services, entrepreneur, and VC investor.
