Welcome to the 2025 OECD Social Policy Ministerial
We are delighted to welcome you to the upcoming OECD Social Policy Ministerial meeting, entitled New Frontiers for Social Policy: Investing in the Future. This landmark event is jointly chaired by Portugal and Spain, with support from the co-chairs Belgium, Canada and Ireland.
This high-level gathering brings together Ministers, policymakers, and global leaders to foster dialogue, share best practices, and strengthen our collective commitment to building resilient and inclusive social protection systems. As we navigate complex challenges -- including population ageing, rapidly changing labour markets, the digital and green transitions, and climate change -- this meeting underscores our shared responsibility to enhance social protection systems for the challenges ahead.
Over the course of the Ministerial, we will explore evidenced-based strategies to reinforce social safety nets, efficiency and effectiveness, promote sustainable and inclusive growth, and address vulnerabilities across our societies. Together, we will forge a unified vision for a future where no one is left behind, focusing on innovative solutions that foster prosperity and create opportunities for all.
