State Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare

Yoko WANIBUCHI is a member of the House of Representatives, and since October 2024, she has been appointed State Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. Previously, in July 2004, she was elected to the House of Councillors (HC), after having graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration, Soka Women's College and having worked for a company. She joined the Committee on Health, Welfare and Labour and served as a director of the Committee on Research on the Aged Society with a Declining Birthrate and a Society of a Cooperative Way of Life in the HC. In October 2017, she was elected to the House of Representatives and was appointed to the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology from September 2020 to August 2022
