Marath Baruch Bolaños López

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare

Since June 20, 2023, Mr. Bolaños has been the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, and previously served as Viceminister of Employment and Labor Productivity (October 2020 to June 2023). He also worked as Private Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (December 2018 - September 2020) and Congressman in the Constituent Assembly of Mexico City (2016-2017). In the academic field, he has been professor of International Relations, Sociology and Communication Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has a degree in International Relations and master's studies in Latin American Studies from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM. The Minister is co-author of the book Towards inclusion and equity in higher education institutions in Latin America: critical approaches to their regulations, Project Measures for Social Inclusion and Equity in Higher Education Institutions in Latin America – (MISEAL, Berlin, Germany, 2014), among other publications. https://www.gob.mx/stps/estructuras/marath-baruch-bolanos-lopez
