Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Peru to the International Economic Organizations in Paris
Ana Rosa Valdivieso Santa MarÃa is a Peruvian diplomat with a grand academic background and extensive experience in the foreign service. She holds a degree in International Relations from the Peruvian Diplomatic Academy and a Master's in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, in addition to advanced studies in anthropology, sociology, and international politics at the United States, Belgium, and Egypt.
From May 4, 2023, to January 31, 2025, she served as the High Representative of Peru for the OECD accession process and has been appointed as the Permanent Representative of Peru to the international economic organizations in Paris. Additionally, her diplomatic career includes significant responsibilities, such as being the Ambassador of Peru to Switzerland (April 2019 to October 2021) and the Permanent Representative of Peru to the Organization of American States (October 2016 to April 2019), among other positions.
Throughout her career, she has held key roles, including serving as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (January 2022 to January 2023) and leading critical departments in areas such as human rights, crisis management, and multilateral policy. Her international experience includes participating in United Nations missions and international summits, as well as in bilateral dialogue mechanisms.
In addition to her proficiency in six languages, her professional focus has been marked by the promotion of international cooperation, the fight against corruption, and the defense of human rights, establishing her as a key figure in Peru's foreign policy.
