Margarida Balseiro Lopes was born in Marinha Grande on 24 September
1989.
She is a doctoral student in Law from Católica Portuguesa University, holds a postgraduate degree in Taxation from the Católica Portuguesa University Law School, a master’s in Law and Management from Católica Portuguesa University and a Law Degree from the Lisbon School of Law.
Since April 2022 until March 2024, she was a consultant at Deloitte Portugal. She began her professional path in 2012 as tax consultant for one of the BIG4.
A member of Parliament from 2015 to 2022, she sat on various parliamentary committees, such as the Budget and Finance Committee or the Committee for Education, Science, Youth, and Sports.
On a party level, Margarida Balseiro Lopes has been Vice President of the Social Democratic Party since 2022 and was President of the Democratic Youth JSD from 2018 to 2020.
In office since April 2, 2024.
