Description

Yves Steinebach is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Oslo with a focus on public policy and public administration. His work primarily focuses on assessing the effectiveness of public policies and governing institutions at both the national and the international level. Steinebach has co-authored significant works such as "Policy Accumulation and the Democratic Responsiveness Trap" and "A Matter of Style? Organizational Agency in Global Public Policy," both published by Cambridge University Press. He has also published in leading international political science outlets, including the American Political Science Review, Political Analysis, Regulation & Governance, Governance, NPJ Climate Action, and Climate Policy. In 2018, Yves received the Best Paper Awards from both the Journal of European Public Policy (JEPP) and Policy Sciences. Currently, he leads the European Commission-funded Consortium on "Sustaining Public Administration in Modern Democracies," a project aimed at evaluating how public administrations can effectively implement and enforce an increasingly complex array of climate and environmental policies.
