Organised by: Amnesty International and Business & Human Rights Resource Centre Denial of the right to Freedom of Association and collective bargaining is a longstanding human rights violation, widely occurring in garment production regions. Amnesty International and the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre have worked with trade unions and fashion brands to highlight the importance of freedom of association in due diligence, how trade unions and collective bargaining are being undermined, alongside an exploration of the emerging opportunities for visioning robust models for social dialogue and industrial relations within the fashion industry. This session will provide an interactive discussion space on practical steps towards promoting freedom of association and effective due diligence, alongside inputs from key stakeholders.
