Feb 10, 2025 | 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Description

Organised by: Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF), FEMNET e.V., SÜDWIND Institut, INKOTA netzwerk, Health and Environment Justice Support (HEJSupport), Mondiaal FNV and WageIndicator Foundation, Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS), Environment and Social Development Organization (ESDO) This session will focus on a collaborative approach to improving working and environmental conditions in Bangladesh's Apparel industry. The initiative is designed with two core methods: Worker-Based Monitoring (WBM) which gathers reliable information on labour conditions via representative surveys conducted outside factories and Community-Based Monitoring (CBM) which documents environmental impacts and health hazards in areas surrounding factories. The result will provide added value to the recently approved EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). More information and registration
