Muriel Treibich

Clean Clothes Campaign

Lobby and Advocacy Coordinator

Description

Muriel Treibich is a Lobby and Advocacy Coordinator for the Clean Clothes Campaign, one of the largest network of trade unions and NGOs fighting for the rights of garment workers worldwide. Clean Clothes Campaign envisions an ecologically and socially responsible global garment industry where workers can exercise and defend their basic rights without threat or intimidation, earning living wages that allow them and their families to live in dignity. In her capacity she has been advocating extensively for ambitious rules for the garment sector at EU and international level. She specifically worked on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, the Forced Labour Regulation and the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. She also supports workers, trade unionists and labour rights activists in their fight for justice by engaging with diplomatic and policy actors. Muriel brings ten years of expertise on business and human rights and due diligence systems across various sectors and different regions. Prior to joining the Clean Clothes Campaign, Muriel worked on the negative impact of the mining industry, on forest governance and on the implementation of transparency and verification systems.
