Description

Bea Ruoff oversees operations of the public-benefit foundation ACT (Action, Collaboration, Transformation) and leads ACT’s work on purchasing practices. ACT aims to pave the way to achieve sustainable wage improvements for workers in the global garment, textiles and footwear industry through collective bargaining at industry level, supported by responsible purchasing practices. Prior to joining ACT she lectured economics and strategic management at Berlin School of Economics and Law, and published focusing on international trade, industrial relations, and global production networks. In these fields she developed research projects at the Institute for International Political Economy Berlin, and managed projects for Berlin School of Economics and Law and University Kassel. She holds a M.A. in International Economics and a B.A. in Business Administration from Berlin School of Economics and Law.
