Description
Sigita Strumskyte is the Coordinator for Sustainable Development and Gender in the OECD Environment Director’s Office. She oversees OECD work on the environment-gender nexus and led the OECD’s first ever publication on the topic. She has contributed to research related to the integration of inclusiveness goals in environmental policies, environmental justice, policy coherence for sustainable development, SDG governance, and infrastructure. She also manages the OECD Round Table on Sustainable Development and oversees country support projects related to the net zero transition. Prior to this role, she served as advisor to the Director of the Public Governance Directorate and to the OECD High Level Representative to the UN, and supported work related to accession countries and private sector development in Eurasian countries, including on questions relating to energy markets and policies.
Prior to joining the OECD, she worked in the private sector, advising entrepreneurs and small firms on business development. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences from Kaunas and Paris Universities and an MBA from INSEAD.
