Description
Thierry Beaudet was elected President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council in May 2021.
A teacher by training, initially an activist in associations, he chaired the MGEN from 2009 to 2017. President of the National Federation of French Mutual Benefit Societies from 2016 to 2021, he founded and chaired the VYV Group from 2017 to 2021.
At the head of the EESC, he has made the issue of deepening democracy a strong focus of his mandate.
In 2023, he published "Let's push back the frontiers of democracy" with Éditions de l'Aube.
